We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our Local Governing Body at Lyndhurst Primary School.
Lyndhurst Primary School, part of The Charter Schools Educational Trust, lies in the heart of Camberwell, south-east London, a vibrant and diverse community. The school’s mission is to combine high academic outcomes with broad and rich curriculum experiences for a happy childhood to prepare our children for secondary school.
Lyndhurst is a thriving school and sought-after place where children flourish, achieve, understand their sense of worth and develop their unique interests and talents. We consider ourselves a truly inclusive school with a unique character, valued by our community. We strive for constant improvement to make our school even better for all our children.
Our local governing body is made up of dedicated volunteers who bring a range of skills and experience from their professional, personal, and volunteering lives. We work to provide independent strategic oversight of the management and operation of the school, with the aim of improving the quality of education and raising standards, in line with the overall strategic direction of the Trust.
We are looking to appoint three governors to join the local governing body at the school; filling one position with immediate effect, one in July 2022 and the final one in November 2022. We are specifically interested in talking to potential volunteers with experience in HR, PR/Communications, finance or law.
If you would like to find out more about the role with the Chair of Governors, Ruth Ashby, please email cog@lyndhurst.southwark.sch.uk
To apply, please download the Governor Application form from this page and return your completed form to Shalene Varcoe, Head of Trust Governance at svarcoe@tcset.org.uk
We actively welcome and encourage applications from communities who tend to be under-represented in school governance. We are committed to continuous improvement in how representative we are of our local community, gender, ethnicity, religion, age, professional background, and all other aspects of diversity.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet the governors’ appointment panel.
