Update – 06.03.20
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are very pleased to confirm that all members of the KS1 family have been tested and the results are negative. As per Public Health England guidance, they are self-isolating for 14 days. We are also pleased to report that there are 0 confirmed cases of coronavirus amongst pupils and staff. If we were to have a confirmed case, we would inform Public Health England who would work with us to manage the next steps.
We have increased cleaning protocols throughout the school to assist with prevention, focusing on high-risk areas such as door handles, bannisters and light switches. Posters from Public Health England to remind about handwashing have also been displayed.
This morning, during the whole school assembly, the children were reminded how to wash hands properly and what to do when coughing/sneezing. We will repeat the assembly next week and will continue to promote keeping clean.
We are asking any visitors to not enter the school building if they have visited an at-risk area in the last 14 days and are symptomatic or have had close contact with a confirmed case. Please let us know if you or your children have had close contact with a confirmed case or have visited an at-risk area.
The key symptoms Public Health England are looking out for are one or more of the following: 1) shortness of breath, 2) a cough, 3) a raised temperature. If you or your child display any of the above symptoms please call NHS 111 for further advice.
We will continue to follow the advice of Public Health England regarding the self-isolation of any possible cases and will keep you informed.
Once again, thank you for your support and co-operation as we work together to keep our whole school community safe.
Kind regards,
Nick Hammill & Jola Nowakowska
