Maths

Explore
Mathematics is as essential as being able to communicate confidently. The need to identify numbers and amounts, combine quantities and calculate, measure and estimate, and spot shapes – are all important mathematical (and life) skills.

EAL

Explore
A significant number of children at Lyndhurst have English as an Additional Language. This means that a child speaks a language other than English at home and may apply to a new arrival who is learning English for the first time, or a child who was born in the UK and speaks English as fluently as his or her peers but speaks another language at home.

Science

Explore
At Lyndhurst we believe that planning and delivering an exciting Science curriculum helps to develop children’s curiosity and motivates them to want to learn and improve their understanding of the world around them.

Religious Education

Explore
At Lyndhurst Primary School we believe all our pupils should explore different religions in order for them to understand the world around them and have a richer context to understand their own place within it.

Physical Education

Explore
At Lyndhurst Primary School we aim to establish a sporting culture that enables and encourages all children to play and enjoy sport and physical activity. Our curriculum provides opportunities for all pupils to succeed and excel in both competitive sport and other physically demanding activities.

Art & Design Technology

Explore
Art is a vital part of the education of all children at Lyndhurst Primary School. The children's use and understanding of the visual language of art is developed by effective teaching and by a considered sequence of experiences.

Music

Explore
Find out more about our music department. The Lyndhurst Music Department has been running for over ten years and prides itself in providing the best possible music tuition for children at Lyndhurst, as well as participating in a number of events within the school and South East London.

PSHE

Explore
PHSE stands for Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education and it is a school curriculum subject in England.

Computing

Explore
Technology is making an ever-increasing impact on the world around us. Our aim is to equip the children with the skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment of interaction with computers.
