28 Feb Lyndhurst v Ivydale Netball Match
On Thursday 13th February, Lyndhurst Netball Club went to play our return match at Ivydale Primary School in Nunhead.
A very focused and determined Lyndhurst team showed how much they have improved their match play in recent weeks and there is definitely a great competitive spirit developing in the teams. The Lyndhurst players were split into two teams each playing half the match. The Red team drew their first half and dominated their second half resulting in an overall 3-6 lead against Ivydale. It was wonderful to see the players passing to each other with more confidence and moving the ball more readily up the court.
The Blue team battled hard and defended particularly well against the strong Ivydale attackers, but unfortunately lost their quarters. The overall two teams’ score was 12-6 to Ivydale. Both teams should be very proud of how they played. The Ivydale coach commented on how much progress the team has made since our last match and they nominated Sadie in Orinoco (Year 5) and Mya-Rae in Rio Grande (Year 4) as Players’ players.
We will be training hard for our next match against Belham on the 12th March.
I would like to thank all those that came to support the team.
