10 Feb Mekong Spring 2016

The Mekong River flows through China, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar. It is known by many names like Lancang Jiang (meaning Turbulent River in Chinese), Mae Nam Kong (meaning Mother Water) by the Lao and Thai, and Cuu Long (meaning Nine Dragons) by the Vietnamese.
This week we have Mekong class (year 1) talking about Jack Frost reading some poems inspired by Winter. We also have some “field recordings” of the children learning to make pancakes for Pancake Day!
And finally listen to the children talk about being resilient and Miss Sawh’s choice for our Desert Island Disc feature.
