The Scoop Week 18th April

Hello Lyndhurst Family,

I hope that everyone has had an enjoyable Easter break. I always find the summer term very exciting as not only do we start to see more of the sun but the term is filled with exciting celebrations. It does mean that our weekly scoop will be a little longer than normal. This week is no exception as we kick off our STEAM week (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) exploring a futuristic Lyndhurst.

Working Weekend:
We plan to have what we hope will be our last big push to revitalise the memorial garden this Saturday starting at 10am. We need helpers to shovel soil, shingle and mulch or to assemble some basic garden furniture. All helpers are welcome (including children who are able to help under the parent’s supervision)—if you can bring a shovel or electric drill that would be appreciated.

May Bazzar & Table Tennis Tournament:
On May 20th we will be having our first Lyndhurst Table Top Sale (Bazzar). The May Bazaar is an opportunity to sell your pre-loved toys, books, clothes and brik-a-brak and help raise money for the school. Click the link in the transcript to secure your table. You can find more details on this flyer. There will be a table tennis tournament at the May Bazaar on My 20th. This will be open to parents and students of Lyndhurst, so dust off your table tennis bat and stay tuned for more information in the coming week.

Weekly Parent Football:
To join the WhatsApp group of the parents weekly 5 a side kick-about which happens on Monday 19:00- 20:00, click this link https://chat.whatsapp.com/BevhCzV1oLbBNGLGHophEl

Are you a Lyndhurst Alumni or is your child the second, third or fourth generation to attend Lyndhurst? If so, we want to hear from you. We are keen to undertake a bit of a photography project documenting our long-standing Lyndhurst families. Please get in touch with the office.

Readathon:
A massive thank you to everyone who took part in the Read-a-thon last term and also to all of those involved in organising it. It was a fantastic event which really did demonstrate how much Lyndhurst loves reading!

Careers Week:
Year six are still looking for volunteers for their careers week. If you would like to give a short talk on your career, please contact Ms Savvides.

Year Six Raffle:
