The Scoop Week 23rd January 2024

The Scoop 23rd Jan 2024

A giant thank you to everyone who has made an extra effort to ensure that they arrive at school on time. It really is appreciated. Please do continue to support your child by getting them to school with time to spare and picking them up punctually.

Here are this week’s announcements.

PE Kits:

A reminder that whilst our uniform is optional we do ask that pupils wear a school PE kit on the days that they have PE or goon trips.

Disco:

Last year the school disco was a massive success so we are delighted that it is back for a second year. In order to secure your child’s place at the disco, you simply need to complete this form.  The deadline is the 2nd of Feb.

Free School Meals:

Whilst all children in London now get a free school lunch the designation of ‘Free School Meal’s is still important as it determines other aspects of funding and support that your child may be eligible for including holiday activity support. If you are in receipt of income support, jobseeker’s allowance, immigration and asylum support, pension credit, child tax credit, working tax credit or universal credit then contact the school office to see if you are eligible.

Jaegar HC Spring HT Camp is now open for bookings:

Bookings are now open for our ever popular holiday camp. Please find the Link to the Booking Page here:  https://jaegarhc.co.uk/bookings

Feb Half Term:

This February Southwark are running free half term cycling courses. You can find more information by clicking on this link.

The Spring Community Hub also have some after school and holiday clubs on offer, details can be found here.

Laptops:

Do you work for a company that provides computers or that may be able to secure a discount of the purchase of computers? With the help of Friends of Lyndhurst, we are looking to purchase some more student devices so we would love to hear from anyone who might be able to get us a discount.

Scooters:

As the weather finally warms up and we see an increase in the use of scooters and bikes, can we remind you to ensure that you are taking home the correct one. So many of the scooters look the same, so please make sure that yours is labelled and that you take the correct one.
