Year Six School Journey

A brilliant week long trip to the Purbeck Valley in Dorset.

Our Year 6 school journey to Purbeck Valley last July, began with a scenic three-hour coach ride, building anticipation for the exciting adventures ahead. Upon arrival, the students were ready to dive straight into the action.

Day 1 kicked off with an exhilarating laser tag session, where teams collaborated to outsmart their opponents.

On Day 2, the group embraced the challenge of bushcraft, constructing shelters and learning essential fire-making skills, all while connecting with nature.

Day 3 brought a highlight of the trip—an unforgettable beach day, where the students enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking- we were so lucky with the wonderful weather on this day! A great day had an even better ending with crabbing, followed by a delicious fish and chips meal by the sea.

On Day 4, the children tested their navigation skills with orienteering before leaping into the thrilling experience of coasteering, jumping off cliffs into the sea.

The final day saw the students exploring the historic Corfe Castle, uncovering its rich history and ancient ruins. Throughout the week, under the guidance of Miss Savvides, Mr. Barber, Miss Hobbs, Miss Rowe, and Mr. Scarlett, the students embraced each challenge with enthusiasm and teamwork, creating lasting memories that will stay with them for years to come.
